Warsaw does retail at scale. Two centres define the map, verified from the operators themselves.

Westfield Arkadia

In Żoliborz, Westfield Arkadia is the largest shopping centre in Poland: 117,500 square metres of retail space with 240 stores and service points, opened in 2004 and still, in operator URW's words, a first-choice centre for brands entering the Polish market. It houses Poland's largest medical centre for children and youths, Enel-med, a cinema, fitness club and the Grand Kitchen dining area. Sustainability is part of the building: rooftop photovoltaic panels, a green roof and five beehives. Mondays bring Quiet Hours for sound-sensitive visitors, and free WiFi runs throughout.

Złote Tarasy

Opposite the Warsaw Central Railway Station and the Palace of Culture, Złote Tarasy gathers 200 shops, 40 restaurants and eight Multikino cinema halls under its undulating glass roof - an icon of modern Warsaw. Opening hours: Monday-Saturday 9:00-22:00, Sunday 9:00-21:00, with the cinema open daily until the last screening. The airport is about 20 minutes away by car, and the underground car park operates 24 hours.
