The Warsaw Christmas Market is back. The second edition of the market opens on 20 November 2026 and runs until 6 January 2027 at Plac Defilad, the square in front of the Palace of Culture and Science in the very centre of the city.

Bigger than the first edition

According to the organiser, this year's market covers a larger area and brings together even more exhibitors - over a hundred stalls with gifts, handicrafts and things you will not find in any shop. Visitors can expect food stalls serving mulled drinks, hot chocolate and winter dishes from around the world, artisan stands, carousels, concerts and festive illuminations, with new attractions to be revealed in the coming weeks. The first edition won the Event of the Year title in the Warszawiaki plebiscite, one of Warsaw's best-known public distinctions.

Practical details

The market is open daily from 11:00 to 22:00; exceptions around Christmas and New Year are announced by the organiser on its website. Entry is free. Plac Defilad sits between the Centrum and Świętokrzyska metro stations, so the easiest way in is the M1 or M2 line. Last season the market closed on 24 December and ran shorter hours on 31 December - check the organiser's site for this year's holiday schedule before you go.
