Wola was the workshop of Warsaw, and the Norblin Factory is its most polished survival. The complex at Zelazna 51/53 covers two hectares of former plating works - a factory that produced metalware on this site from the late 19th century - restored and reopened to the public in 2021.

An open-air museum of industry

The developer kept the factory fabric and turned the site itself into the exhibit. Original machines, production lines and factory buildings are displayed across the courtyards as an open-air museum, so a walk through the quarter doubles as a tour of Warsaw industry. Several historic structures were moved and rebuilt within the site during the restoration.

Food Town

The social heart is Food Town, a large hall of restaurant concepts and bars inside the old buildings, alongside shops, a cinema and event spaces. It draws an office crowd on weekdays and families at weekends, and it has become one of the standard answers to where to eat in Wola - a more industrial counterpart to Hala Koszyki across town.

Visiting

The complex sits between Zelazna and Prosta streets in Wola, close to the Rondo Daszynskiego metro station on line M2. Entry to the quarter and the open-air museum areas is free; the food hall and venues keep their own hours, generally from morning to late evening.
