The Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art (Centrum Sztuki Współczesnej Zamek Ujazdowski) is Warsaw's main venue for contemporary art, set in a castle at Jazdów 2 on the escarpment above Łazienki Park and Agrykola.
Opening hours and free Thursdays
The exhibitions and the bookshop open Tuesday to Sunday 11:00-19:00, and on Thursdays 11:00-20:00 - when admission is free. The exhibitions are closed on Mondays, and the last visitors are admitted 30 minutes before closing. The castle's art-house cinema is open every day, with the repertoire published on the centre's website, and the library is open Tuesday to Friday 11:00-18:00 (Thursday from 14:00) and Saturday 11:00-14:00.
Getting there
The castle sits between the Royal Route and Łazienki Park, so it pairs naturally with a walk through the park - see our Łazienki Park guide. The closest metro stop is Nowy Świat - Uniwersytet on the M2 line, about a 15-minute walk through the university district.
