Warsaw's public bikes are one of the easiest ways to move around the centre. Here is the verified 2026 picture from the city and the operator.
The 2026 season
The 15th Veturilo season runs from 1 March to 30 November 2026, with 3,460 bikes - 3,130 classic, 300 electric and 30 tandems - at 344 stations across the city. The system's name, chosen by residents, means "means of transport" in Esperanto. Note the seasonal frame: the season ends on 30 November, and the city has not yet announced the 2027 season dates.
Prices
The first 20 minutes of every ride are free, and the first hour on a classic bike costs only 1 PLN - enough for most cross-centre trips. Register in the Veturilo app, top up, and activate your account with the initial fee.
How to rent and return
Open the app and scan the QR code on the bike or enter its number; the O-lock on the rear wheel opens automatically. To finish, simply close the lock and the bike is returned. Veturilo is compatible with four neighbouring systems - Otwock, Piaseczno, Pruszków and Józefów - so bikes can cross between them.
Where to ride
The Vistula Boulevards and Łazienki surroundings are classic rides; for transit days when wheels beat rails, see the public transport guide.
