On summer evenings, Warsaw gathers below the Old Town for a show that costs nothing. The Multimedia Fountain Park, opened in 2011 in Podzamcze at the foot of the New Town, is one of the most popular attractions in the capital: according to the city, more than a million spectators watch its shows during the five-month season.

The shows

In recent seasons the shows have run from the beginning of May to the end of September. Multimedia performances - water jets choreographed to music with light and laser projections drawing on Warsaw legends - took place on Friday and Saturday evenings, with start times shifting through the season from 21:30 in early summer to 20:30 in September. Admission is free, and the city notes the shows are best admired from the Vistula escarpment above the fountains. Inaugural-season performances and special editions have also run around the 1 May weekend.

The 2026 season has now ended. The city has not yet confirmed the dates and showtimes for the 2027 season - the pattern above describes recent seasons, not a confirmed upcoming schedule. The city announces each new season programme in spring.

The park

Between Bolesc, Wybrzeze Gdanskie, Sanguszki and Rybaki streets, the park itself is a year-round public space with the fountain basins, lawns and a seasonal gastronomic offer - a natural stop between the Old Town and a walk along the Vistula bank.

Visiting out of season

With the 2026 season over, the multimedia shows are paused until the next season. The park remains open for walks year-round. Check the official city announcement in spring for the 2027 programme and showtimes.
