The museum holds over 300,000 artifacts: armour, edged weapons and firearms from across a millennium, uniforms and riding equipment, banners and orders, battle paintings, and heavy hardware from cannons to tanks, armoured vehicles, aircraft and helicopters. Permanent exhibition modules will present the collection by epoch, from the 10th century to the 20th, alongside halls for Oriental arms and temporary exhibitions.
