Poland has exactly one museum devoted entirely to the cultures of Asia, the Pacific and Australia - and it stands on a quiet Powisle street. The Andrzej Wawrzyniak Asia and Pacific Museum at Solec 24 grew out of the private collection of its founder, a diplomat and traveller, and today shows art and ethnographic objects from Indonesia to Central Asia and Oceania across permanent and temporary exhibitions.
