University of Warsaw Botanical Garden: Hours, Greenhouses and Tickets

A wall separates one of the calmest corners of Warsaw from one of its busiest streets. The University of Warsaw Botanical Garden at Aleje Ujazdowskie 4 packs thousands of plant species into a few hectares beside the Royal Baths - a working university garden that opens to the public in season.

Opening hours

According to the garden, until the end of October it is open daily, including public holidays, 10:00-17:00, with the ticket office open until 16:00. The garden operates seasonally, so check the current hours before a visit outside this period.

The greenhouses

The Palm House and the tropical and subtropical greenhouses are the year-round draw - a pocket of rainforest in central Warsaw. They open Tuesday to Sunday during garden hours (last entry 16:20) and are closed on Mondays. Note that the Orangery is closed to visitors until further notice for technical reasons.

Guided walks and tickets

Every Saturday and Sunday at 13:00, the garden educators lead guided walks. Tickets are available at the on-site ticket office and online via kupbilet.pl.

Visiting

The garden entrance is on Aleje Ujazdowskie, directly opposite one of the gates of Lazienki Park - the two make a natural pair. The autumn colour season is one of the best times to go.
