Warsaw Museums Open Late: Evening Hours by Day of the Week
What to know: If you want an evening museum visit in Warsaw, plan by weekday: Wednesdays belong to the Museum of Sport and Tourism (until 20:00), Thursdays to the Praga museum and the Museum of Caricature (until 20:00), and Fridays to the National Museum, MZPR and the Krolikarnia (all until 20:00).

Museum-going in Warsaw does not have to compete with daylight sightseeing. Several of the best collections in the city keep evening hours on fixed weekdays, all verified against the museums below.
Wednesday evening: Museum of Sport and Tourism
The Museum of Sport and Tourism at Wybrzeze Gdynskie 4 opens 9:00-20:00 on Wednesdays, making it the midweek evening option.
Thursday evening: Praga and caricature
Two museums run late on Thursdays. The Museum of Warsaw Praga at Targowa 50/52 opens 11:00-20:00 - and Thursdays are free. The Museum of Caricature at Kozia 11 opens 12:00-20:00 on Thursdays near the Old Town.
Friday evening: the big night
Friday is the richest evening. The National Museum opens 10:00-20:00, with happy hours from 17:00 to 20:00 cutting ticket prices by half. The Museum of Life in the PRL (MZPR) opens 12:00-20:00 on Fridays. And the Krolikarnia palace of sculpture, another National Museum branch, opens 10:00-20:00 on Fridays.
One-off evenings
Once a year in May, the Night of Museums keeps cultural venues across the city open into the small hours with free entry and special transport. Outside that night, the weekly pattern above is the reliable way to add a museum to an evening in Warsaw.
